      Talent Acquisition Specialist Interview

      Aug 8, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Santa Ana, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Roth Staffing (Santa Ana, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

I was shocked and horrified by this in-person interview. I originally heard about the position from a recruiter that reached out to me via LinkedIn. She was wonderful and we spoke for 40 minutes on the phone about the position and what I was looking for. We set up an interview for the following week. The day of my in-person interview I arrived 10 minutes early. I entered the suite and was shocked to find a tiny space with concrete floors and people shoved in cubicles. I walked to the front desk to check in and could see the shock on the woman's face that I was there. She scurried to the back and I could hear 3 or 4 people talking and saying things like: "She's here?", "Where are we going to put here?", "Who's going to talk to her first?". Absolutely chaos. They were entirely unprepared for my and I was only 10 minutes early! They finally find a place for me and a woman tells me that someone else will come in and I will talk to them, then meet some people from the team, then talk to someone from corporate to discuss culture. She leaves. Minutes pass and no one comes. Finally the original woman returns and says "Well, I guess I am going to talk to you." Which was immediately followed by "Sorry, I haven't looked at your resume at all." Now this wouldn't be too bad if that wasn't the case for every single person that I talked to for my interview. This is a STAFFING COMPANY. Your job is to review resumes and interview people!!! They had trouble finding people to meet and talk with me and you could feel the desperation in the office for me to join the team. It was unvcomfortable. I was absolutely shocked at the lack of coordination and professionalism for such a well-ranked company.
