I was contacted via a recruiter for the position. After the initial screen, I was asked to come into a preliminary interview to further discuss my qualifications and to learn more about the position. Shortly after that, I was scheduled for a face-to-face interview with the company owner, Adam. After waiting for approximately 25 minutes after our schedule interview time, (admittedly, a huge pet-peeve of mine) I was finally told they he was ready for me. As we sat down to interview, Adam was texting on his phone, something that continued throughout the entire interview process. He seemed uninterested and detached, and to be perfectly honest, incredibly nervous. In turn, his nervousness was making me uneasy. After about 5 minutes of discussing his foundation, he signaled the interview was over by abruptly standing up while I was mid-sentence. The interview lasted 8 minutes. It was just a really odd, unprofessional experience.
