Applied through LinkedIn, received a contract recruiter giving me some details about the company, received a phone call from a SS&C Recruiter, spoke next with the Senior HR Manager for an hour, then scheduled for an onsite in the San Francisco office. A junior SS&C Recruiter called with feedback and offered me a base salary $15K less than my current salary. I shared what I was making from the very beginning. For the next two weeks I was told a request to have approval for a higher salary was being processed by senior management. Finally received a voicemail apologizing for wasting my time and will not make a counter offer.
The job description on LinkedIn had 5 years experience required and the same job description on SS&C Advent career page wanted 2 years of experience. Inconsistent job descriptions indicates a broken process.
