I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Safran (Paris) in Jan 2015
Interview
The interview was relatively straightforward, I came to the plant 1 hour before the planned interview (the plant is in the middle of nowhere so plan accordingly and do not forget your passport as you might not be allowed to enter if they cannot verify your identity and citizenship).
I then was invited to wait in the area dedicated to this purpose, which I did for one hour.It was very nice, with coffee and biscuits and every thing.
The interviewer then came and we went to a meeting room. I was then interviewed for one hour, and another interviewer then came and I was again interviewed for another hour (2 hours total).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview started with questions on my background, why I studied this or that, why I pursued a double degree program, etc.
He also asked specific questions about my previous internships, like the type of company, what they were manufacturing, etc.
He then followed with technical questions about the software I had to use during the internship and projects that I did at school related to mechanical design.
Finaly, there were some questions about systems engineering and functional analysis but that was more of a bonus to test my engineering culture I think.
online interview on Teams, the process is smooth and kind overall. few basic questions like
1. tell me about yourself
2. your project experience
3. your internship duration
4. the commute time
I applied online. I interviewed at Safran (Mirabel, QC) in Feb 2026
Interview
1h and HR was included one of the longuest interviews for a internship I ever had. Difficulty level was average. HR started with there question then it was the team lead with some technical questions.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Safran (Whitby, ON) in Nov 2025
Interview
On Microsoft teams, very easy going. They want to know your personality and thinking process. The questions weren't too technical but more about the process of how you think and how you would go about solving an issue presented to you.
