As people have stated before, the interview process is pretty standard, consisting in the following steps:
- Screening interview with a senior employee (could be PO, dev, etc)
- Take home assignment
- Technical interview with a couple of developers
- Cultural fit with the CTO
My negative experience comes from 2 aspects of the interview:
The first one happened during the technical interview, I got mocked and ridiculed by one of the interviewers. His knowledge was not outstanding, but he was looking for the exact term, to the very vague question that he was trying to express; leaving every attempt to express or state my knowledge invalid if it was not the exact word he was looking for.
And the last one came at the moment of the offer. I got asked my salary expectations during the last interview, but they completely ignore them offering me 10K less of what I was asking for, and stating that my experience was not worth more.
The CTO was a very nice man, and I could tell that he is very smart. However, management needs to refine its recruiting process and filter some people out from the interviewer guild, specially the ones that does not have any soft skills and will make the company lose talent.
I don't recommend interviewing with them, what a waste of time!!!
