I recently went through an interview process that was unnecessarily long and poorly structured. It involved over six rounds of interviews and three separate assignments, each taking 5-6 hours to complete. Despite this extensive process, it became clear that the company itself wasn’t sure what they were assessing or looking for.
Communication was inconsistent—feedback was sparse and often contradicted what was said in previous rounds. Ultimately, they informed me that the position had been closed, only to reopen it just a few days later. The entire experience felt like a significant drain on time and effort, with little regard for the candidate’s experience.
