Interview
Apply if you do not have any self-respect! To be honest with you all, I read all the negative feedback here and I thought that it was normal to see some candidates complaining, especially if they are refused. - First call with someone from HR in a day after applying via LinkedIn. It was very informative and she replied all of my questions. ✅ - Second call with the team manager that seemed very nice and friendly. Talked about each other's development habits and environments. She was convinced to invite me to take the programming challenge. ✅ - Following this call, I have not heard from them (that should have been a red flag). But I tried my chance and sent an email indicating that I was ready to take the challenge. - Next day: I received the invitation and started to work on it. - I spent several hours, especially during the weekend and I was ready to ship it! While sending, I insisted them to give me feedback as I was afraid that they ghosted some candidates since it is written by several candidates here. - They had said that it would take 5 working days to reply. After a week, I sent a friendly reminder to receive feedback from the team. One of the HR guys said that he would get back to me soon. - Several days after a Friday night I received a generic refusal email without any word of feedback. I might get rejected and I did several times throughout my career. It is totally OK!! I demanded them to give me a technical feedback at least following a tech task but I do not think that they are that much respectful. This is the first time I have seen such an unprofessional hiring process and feel mistreated. So if you are looking for something serious for your career, avoid even having a 15 mins call. You might do something more meaningful :)
Edit: I have received a little bit of feedback 11 days after. I have been basically rejected for the way I designed the model class and using little outdated libraries such as LiveData instead of Kotlin Flows while general arch and UI was met the brief well with few superfluous extras. I have stated that I worked with LiveData since it is part of my current day projects and for this task, it would be more honest to show what I have been currently doing.
Thanks for your review - we are always looking for ways to improve, and we’re so sorry you had this experience. We will consider your experience as we work on improving our processes. Thank you!

Interview
In the first interview I had a talk with the Director of Engineering, he was a very nice and polite person and it went very well. Then he said to me that next was to do a code assessment and I had one week to complete it, or if I needed more time, I could tell them. And once sent, it would be analyzed within 24hrs.
Then I completed it within 2 days covering all the requirements following some of the current best practices. It took them 7 days to give me an answer even though I had even reached them during these days, and when their response arrived, it was said that compared to what others submitted, it wasn't good enough for me to move on to the next step.
It's pretty clear to me that they didn't manage the appliances very well and the job listing was already filled before they decided to even look at my project assessment or whatever.
