A total of 5 rounds were there during the interview process. 3 technical, 1 tech + behavioral and last one was cultural fit round.
The entire process took around a week. The first 3 tech rounds were f2f rounds and mostly revolved around the work that I did so far. The questions were pretty exhaustive and detailed. I had to explain the working of NodeJs, Redis, and diff between Mongo and MySql. For the NodeJs questioning, I had to write code to explain how the event loop, callbacks, and promises work and explain their internals in detail.
I was also questioned about the application structure and design and how will solve the problem of user-access mgmt in both application and database levels.
HR rounds were exhaustive too as it was a 2hr Zoom call. The questions were situational based questions to understand whether the person is eligible for becoming a team member. This is to make sure that the company's culture is preserved. The person-in-charge of my recruitment had given me a disclaimer to not to take this round lightly as this was the primary reason for many candidates getting rejected.
