My first interview was with the hiring manager and two HR professionals. There were a number of red flags about the company culture that I wanted to include on this site because they were so egregious. As a femme-presenting person, I was asked whether I was "too emotional" or if I "took things personally" because there are a lot of "big personalities" that we have to work around. Big indicator that people aren't nice to each other there. Also some pretty hefty red flags that led me to believe this company doesn't trust their employees, including the supervisor explaining that he would be involved in every one of my meetings and would be going through my work with a fine-toothed comb. I have 16+ years' experience in this function - that felt insulting.
If you've ever been described as "too sensitive," I suspect this workplace would chew you up and spit you out. Definitely be mindful to ask about company culture during your interview here.
