I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Shane Co.
Interview
I had a phone interview and two in person interviews. In total, I interviewed with 5 different people. ShaneCo takes the hiring process very serious and wants to find the perfect fit for the job. While I understand this, they knew that I had to drive over an hour for each interview, and the same questions/topics were discussed in each interview. I have a bachelor's degree, six years of retail experience, and a professional appearance and personality. Yet, I felt like I was on trial during these interviews. The staff was somewhat friendly, but I was asked many unnecessary and irrelevant questions about the inner workings of the previous company I worked for. I appreciate the effort ShaneCo goes through to find the perfect employee, but I felt uncomfortable during the interview.

Interview
Great interview process. The manager and assistant manager made it very professional but also personable. They asked general interview questions, gave me a tour of the store, and told me all about the company and how it's ran.

Interview
I applied online. They had a customer service position open as well as a sales position. I applied for customer service since I knew I was very qualified for it and might have a better chance at getting it. 2 months later I got a call from a recruited that was interested in talking to me. I played phone tag with him for like a week and a half because I work mornings and was unable to call him during the day. I really appreciate that he was so patient and very nice about it all. When we finally talked he told me about the company, asked about my background and told me I sounded like I would be really good for the sales position. He said he gave me two thumbs up and would forward my information to the HR at the store in my area and that I should hear from them soon. I never heard from them. I probably should have called or went there in person but I emailed them and got no response. Then I noticed that my application status online said closed. It still showed they had a sales position open so I put in another application for that instead of my previous customer service application. About 3 weeks later I finally got a rejection email. I was super excited and hopeful after my phone interview went so well but after such a long process I just ended up disappointed. You and I could have had a good thing Shane Co....
