I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Shell (Houston, TX) in Oct 2012
Interview
Heavy interest in whether or not you have a broad range dealing with people from different backgrounds. Makes sense because of how diverse and international the company was. I was not a fan of their behavorial based interview. I think overall I did not click or mesh with the company.
Case Study be prepared to answer questions on the spot be well prepared with the case study before hand do spend more than 90 minutes preparing before the interview. Overall if you know your stuff you will be just fine.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shell in May 2024
Interview
The case study was an extensive deep dive into multiple companies, analyzing their strategies, operations, and outcomes in detail. Each section presented unique challenges, from interpreting complex data to understanding diverse business models. Despite the effort it demanded—hours of research, critical thinking, and problem-solving—the process was incredibly rewarding. It not only expanded my knowledge but also sharpened my analytical skills and provided valuable insights into industry practices. By the end of it, the sense of accomplishment made every difficult moment worthwhile.
