      Human Resources Analyst Interview

      Feb 17, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Cleveland, OH
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sherwin-Williams (Cleveland, OH)

      Interview

First call with HR Rep, scheduled <4 hours after I submitted my application online. Asked me to walk through my resume. She told me she'd get back to me at the end of that week, but ended up telling me the hiring manager would like to talk with me at the beginning of the next week. So, then had a phone interview with hiring manager. Asked mostly behavioral questions, but related them back to my resume and projects I worked on. Told me she'd get back to me by the end of the week, but then heard back from first rep about scheduling an onsite at the middle of the next week. Went to onsite a week after that, at the Cleveland HQ, and spoke with hiring manager, person previously in this role, another HR person, and then the hiring manager again. Everybody asked behavioral questions and were mostly very conversational. I did have to provide some work samples of presenting data, but nobody really talked about them, and I wasn't asked about them. I felt like one of my strong points was being able to cater the questions I asked to the person (e.g. asked all my "technical" questions mostly to the person previously in the role). Was told I should hear back at the end of that week. Heard back that Friday and was scheduled another phone interview with another HR person that I hadn't met previously. She asked the exact same behavioral questions that the hiring manager asked me at the onsite. I honestly wasn't sure why I had that interview, but I was happy to spend 30 minutes more with the person. I received an offer at the end of that day. All and all, everybody was pleasant and very conversational. The only gripe I have is that they would give me a specific timeline and would be a little later than it when conveying next steps and information, but that's almost always to be expected in a large company like this one. I applied early January and received an offer mid-February.
