It seems like this place is only focused on numbers and monetary growth. The first stage of interviewing has no human contact, they just request candidates to record themselves answering a set of questions they send you beforehand. You have to watch a video of one of the founders (who has no mental health work experience or credentials, btw) explaining the instructions, then you record yourself answering questions. Pretty ironic and hypocritical to have this style of hiring practice, as they advertise themselves as aiming to "humanize the online therapy experience." Then they reject you the next day, with no feedback or personalized response. Nothing "humanizing" about that!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you have an existing private practice, how will you manage that role while working at ShiftCollab?
They sent me a link to a one-way interview (i.e., video record yourself answering questions they asked). The questions are given in the email prior to the recording and you're given a due date. There was no human contact prior to this request for a one way interview, which feels dehumanizing. Not sure if this is a new way of interviewing that they're doing since the previous reviews were a few years ago. I recorded my answers and was rejected the following business day.
I applied online. I interviewed at Shift Collab in May 2023
Interview
Three interviews including one pre-recorded interview. Overall pleasant experience and the interviewers were very nice and worked to make you feel comfortable. Some questions were tricky but overall positive experience
