A few weeks after submitting my resume, I received an email indicating that "We're excited to move forward with the interview process." They requested my availability and I gave it to them. They then scheduled a time for a 1st round interview and sent out calendar invites and then an event reminder. The recruiter did not show up for the interview or call. About 15 minutes later she emailed me that she was running late but would still call if that was OK. I immediately replied and said it was. She never called. Later in that day she asked if we could meet after her lunch and I gave her a window to call and she said she would. She didn't. We then exchanged more emails about speaking the next day at 1:15 PM. Once again, she didn't call. She sent another email apologizing and asked if we could speak the next day. I gave her the whole afternoon to call me, after 1:30 PM and we confirmed it. Again, she didn't call me. After the 4 no shows, I very politely expressed my interest in the job and asked if we could speak the next week. No reply. I waited several days and asked if the job was still open, again no reply. I then emailed the person who sent out the calendar invites and coordinated the "interview" to see if there was another time I could speak. She too did not reply. So I've been ghosted. I have several former coworkers who work at Sigma, some of whom I consider friends, and I have heard wonderful things about the company as an employer. But their recruiting department takes it to heart that they are a good employer, as well as the spate of layoffs in tech (which haven't affected me), and will treat you like dirt. What a completely dehumanizing process.
