Had a round of interview with the HR/TA and a round with a senior leader who leads a portfolio.
After the F2F interview with the senior leader, I was told by the HR person that they will get back to me in 2 weeks' time. 2 weeks later, I got a WhatsApp message, and a call thereafter from the same person, who mistook me for another candidate that is unrelated to the role. They then told me that they will call again in 2 weeks' time if there's any updates from the leaders.
2 weeks later, I got a WhatsApp message from the same HR person asking if I'm free for a call since they finally got a response from a lady in the company. They called, and they mistook me for another candidate AGAIN. Mind you, the messages were in the same WhatsApp chat; a simple check against my profile on WhatsApp would suffice (they even addressed me by my name for their first ever message to me).
They then told me that they are no longer hiring for the Product Manager role and have to relook at their team/org structure to see if they will need this headcount again.
Major red flags here, with HR being sloppy and not detailed. Never have I met a HR person who commits the same mistake twice (they themselves even mentioned in the call 'Did I call the wrong person again..').
Simply appalling, and says a lot about the company.
