I threw out an application and had a response to schedule an initial phone screen with an internal recruiter in ~15 minutes. There were a total of 4 interviews:
-1: Standard phone screen: discussed background and fit. Very light, nothing technical.
-2:Phone screen with Senior SWE: Similar to first phone screen but with more of a focus on my technical background at a high level. Projects I've worked on, what I'm looking for, what interests me about SB, etc. Was scheduled very quickly, first screen was on a Friday afternoon, this was scheduled for the following Monday.
-3:Technical screen over Zoom: Sat down with two senior SWE's at SB and was given a technical coding assessment, took about 60 minutes. Nothing like a LeetCode hard, more of a practical assessment writing a logic layer for a hypothetical API. Again, heard back from the 2nd interview within an hour and had this scheduled for the very next day.
-4: On-site: bigger gap between this one and the last three, about a week due to having to get everyone's schedules aligned, still extremely fast. Sat down with a Senior SRE, Senior SWE, the Engineering Director and a Product Manager. First round was with SRE and SWE, high level technical round discussing my background and my approach to debugging/problem solving/overall coding philosophy. No whiteboarding or anything of the sort.
Next interview was with the Director of Engineering, which was more of a conversation of anything. Very laid back, conversational interview; he was more interested in what questions he could answer of mine than drilling me with questions, which was a welcome flip. Great session to get a feel for the culture at SB.
Final interview was with a PM, more focused on the non-technical aspects of my background. Focused a lot of the things I do outside of code, how I communicate, past experiences with PMs, basically all the parts of coding that don't have to do with actual code. Again very laid back, conversational interview, answered all the questions and was very comfortable.
All in all I had an offer within hours of leaving the on-site and the whole process took less than two weeks, very pleasant interview experience and the fastest response time I've ever had.
