I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Singtel (Kuala Lumpur) in Aug 2025
Interview
The day after the application, the recruiter approached me through phone and email to inform me to conduct an online technical assessment within a period. The assessment comprised of multiple choices questions about Spring Boot, MongoDB, etc. followed by a coding assessment.
Once I completed the test, they arranged a second round interview with the hiring manager and a senior software engineer to evaluate my technical knowledge and behavioral aptitude in a virtual meeting.
After the interview, the recruiter quickly followed up and discussed the renumeration package. The hiring process was smooth and straightforward, it was unfortunate that I turned down the offer because the compensation didn't meet my expectation.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Singtel (Singapore) in Apr 2025
Interview
My interview process began with a direct and detailed conversation with a senior executive, which gave the impression that the company was seriously considering my profile. However, after the interview, I received no updates for 22 days.
When I followed up myself, I was informed that I was not shortlisted for a second round. Interestingly, my first round was already with the C-Level — I’m still curious who exactly conducts the "second round" after that.
To add to the confusion, my application status still shows as "Interviewing," and the same job has been reposted with a new date.
Overall, I believe the company needs to improve its communication transparency, timeline management, and the overall consistency of its hiring process. For a role of this level, the lack of clarity was surprisingly unprofessional.
