The interviewer introduces themselves and briefly explains the purpose of the interview. They may also ask the candidate to introduce themselves and share a little about their background. In this phase, the interviewer assesses the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to teaching English. They may ask about previous work experience, teaching philosophy, or teaching strategies.
