I applied for the position on linkedin and a few days later I received an email asking me to provide 3 references before anything would move forward, this seems like a data collection operation and I'm doubtful the job is real. The form they want references to fill out is very long and I wouldn't want to ask anyone to fill out such a form on my behalf without knowing if the job is even real

I applied online and the sent me an email asking to to send 3 references. I did and they never got back to me. They are only reaching people out in bad faith to get construct a database of contacts.

Applied and have been asked for 3 references prior to even knowing what the company is or speaking to the recruiter. This is a very odd approach. Other reviews have spoken negatively of this process and I regret sending my resume in. The company should be upfront about this process when asking for resumes.
