I applied online. I interviewed at Snowflake in Feb 2022
Interview
After applying, I received an invite to complete coding challenge on Hackerrank. I needed to complete a Machine Learning Project in 4 hours. The project is not easy and is difficult to handle for a new intern in this field.
Hadn't expected the first round to feature a question so similar to one I had just studied on PracHub. The challenge was to design an A/B test for query latency, diving deep into unit analysis and variance reduction. Unfortunately, the interviewer seemed rushed and interrupted frequently, which made it hard to fully express my thoughts. The experimental design follow-ups felt particularly chaotic. Overall, the process left me feeling disconnected, and I walked away without an offer, despite having prepared thoroughly.
Recruiter call, followed by a discussion with the hiring manager. They didn't go past the hiring manager stage with me, but the next step would have been a technical panel
