      React Developer Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Sonata Software (Hyderābād) in May 2026

      Interview

My hiring experience with Sonata Software was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Although Sonata Software is considered a reputed public company, the way the hiring process and communication were handled did not feel professional at all. The entire hiring process continued for almost one month, including multiple interview rounds, client discussions, background verification through Digiverifier, and submission of all required documents. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly assured that the offer letter would be released soon. From the beginning, I clearly communicated that I was an immediate joiner, fully willing to relocate to Hyderabad, and ready to join within one week. Despite this, after document submission there were long periods with no proper updates or communication. Calls were not answered, follow-ups were ignored, and different reasons were given at different times. Initially, I was told that “delivery approval” was pending. Later, through the consultancy, I was informed that relocation was becoming a concern because I belong to North India — despite the fact that I had already worked in Hyderabad for four years and had clearly confirmed my willingness to relocate immediately. The most disappointing part was that no proper official response was provided until I escalated the matter and tagged another official company email ID. Only after escalation was I informed that the position had been put on hold. The entire experience felt as if the hiring process depended completely on one HR person, and unless the matter was escalated to higher-level official emails, candidate concerns were not taken seriously. Based on my personal experience, candidates should be careful about relying completely on verbal assurances or repeated promises such as “the offer will be released soon” until an official offer letter is actually issued — especially candidates relocating from other states or from North India. Candidates invest significant time, effort, trust, and career planning during a hiring process. Therefore, transparent communication, honest updates, and professional handling are the minimum expectations from any reputed organization. I hope Sonata Software improves its hiring transparency, communication standards, and candidate experience in the future so that other professionals do not face similar situations. #CandidateExperience #HiringProcess #SonataSoftware #Recruitment #Professionalism

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They mostly asked questions related to React and JavaScript. In the client round, they focused more on practical and real-time experience rather than only theoretical concepts. The client may ask technical questions based on real project scenarios to judge whether you actually have hands-on experience working on React applications. They can also ask scenario-based React questions, such as performance optimization, state management, API handling, component communication, debugging issues, or how you handled challenges in real projects.
