I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Specsavers (London, England) in Dec 2017
Interview
Quite formal with two guys interviewing me in an examination room. Interview lasted for about half an hour with plenty of questions. They deconstructed my whole CV and went through questions about that and then also standard Specsavers questions.
I definitely wouldn't recommend going to an interview with Specsavers because two phone calls and 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for a reply, even though they said they would call me within a few days of the interview to let me know if I had been successful or not. Very unprofessional considering they harped on about how much of an amazing, professional company they were to work for during interview.
Brief interview, mainly was asked about previous jobs and why I wanted to work for Specsavers. The atmosphere wasn't tense, so I felt comfortable instead of on edge as I usually did with the interviews.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Specsavers (Galway)
Interview
Was invited to the managers office where I was interviewed by the manager and store supervisor.
They were polite and properly invested in the interview. Only complaint I had is it took way too long for them to get back to me with the results of the interview. And with how it was handled I have a feeling that they were waiting for a specific person to show up whom they already decided would be hired prior to the interview process.
