Interview
This was a few years ago but finally feel able to share. I spoke to the franchise owner AND was told that I did an exceptional interview whereby they did not even finish the questions because they said I had already answered them. I had all but been told that the process was a formality as they were very interested in my experience. Job trial was included after the interview and went well. It was only after informing them that I would require a seat for welcoming duties due to my disability that they then went quiet and then I received a standard email the following day with a negative outcome without good reason for this. I am therefore certain this was due to not wanting to accommodate/provide reasonable adjustments for my disability. After speaking to an adviser they felt this was a case of discrimination but due to a lack of written evidence it could not be taken further.
Brief interview, mainly was asked about previous jobs and why I wanted to work for Specsavers. The atmosphere wasn't tense, so I felt comfortable instead of on edge as I usually did with the interviews.

Interview
Was invited to the managers office where I was interviewed by the manager and store supervisor.
They were polite and properly invested in the interview. Only complaint I had is it took way too long for them to get back to me with the results of the interview. And with how it was handled I have a feeling that they were waiting for a specific person to show up whom they already decided would be hired prior to the interview process.

I applied for the position online and was invited to take part in an initial telephone interview. Following this, attended a face-to-face interview with the hiring team. After a successful interview, I was offered the opportunity to complete a trial shift.
