      UI Developer Interview

      Oct 18, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Jose, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Splunk (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

Splunk hiring event Technical codepair session Onsite (which they keep reschduling and finally says HM needs to check technical skills plz take online assessment) Online assessment ( which is set to fail you) Recruiter inMail for Splunk hiring drive. technical screening round request. They asked for onsite. I gave my availability. After couple of follow up Friday evening they decided to confirm me for Monday morning. I had already made commitment at my work since I had not head back from them until Friday noon. I told them since this is last minute cant make it can you pick another date. They did and before 2 days onsite interview they sent out email they cant do it since they have conference coming up in next 2 weeks. I was shock coz conference does not start until 2 week and each interview was going to spend 45 mins each. How does it affect the schedule?? however I gave another availability and another reschedule happened. I was working on critical task till 4 in morning so I sent them email saying can we do it on Monday instead of Friday since I caught up in critical situation which was unavoidable. To that they responded we want to check your technical skill before we call you for final round. The evaluation will take 105 minute. The tool says you cant debug here so feel free to use IDE you wish and later you can paste the code here. I implemeted same logic in codepen.io and when put the same code they did not run. I immidiatelyy sent email to recruiter and mentioned it is working as expected plz ask reviewer to check my this links. Please provide feedback whatever you have. Next day auto generated email saying we have moved on to another candidate. Are you serious ? The recruiting team is not concern with anyone timeline and they do not care to respond to questions. Worst experience. They are expanding like anything but does not mean you dont have right attitude.
