St Charles Health System interview questions

I networked on Facebook moving to Bend and happened to come into contact with an assistant manager that shared my information to the manager. I was called within a week. I was screened by the manager and scheduled for a teams interview a week later. The teams interview was a panel style interview with 3 people in the room and 2 others on the teams call. I was thrown off when they turned the camera away from the group interviewing me and turned the camera to the opposite of the room. I felt that was very strange and unwelcoming. For some reason, I couldn’t see my face, my screen was black. I asked if they could see my face to which they responded they could see me. I felt unusually nervous as it has been 6 years since I have interviewed and I felt a little out of practice. I did read up on the hospital beforehand. I got stumped when they asked me, “tell me about a time you spearheaded a process improvement project.” My mind went blank as I couldn’t think of an example quick enough and I began to panic. I asked if we could return to the question. They didn’t return to the question. They asked what do you do in a code situation. We do codes all the time, but for some reason I felt as though I didn’t word my response well. I felt every time I answered a question it was silent after the response. Another question was “tell them about a time when you made a mistake, and what did you do about it.” Another one was, “where do you see yourself in 3 years.” Also, “why do you want to work here?” Another, “what services do you do, and what is your favorite?” There was probably more, but I just felt my answers weren’t as good as they have been in the past. The questions were pretty routine as long as you are prepared to answer in a STAR response format. As long as you prepare and do not psych yourself up like I did, you will be fine and will ace interview.
