    Corporate Trainer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Lewisville, TX
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Stearns Lending (Lewisville, TX) in November 2015.

    Interview

Contacted via LinkedIn by Recruiter, spoke of the Opportunity and background...was invited for an interview with the VP, then came back for a 2nd interview with another VP, then came back for a 3rd interview with AVP including a Training presentation. Thorough background check, which took almost 2 weeks, then was given an Offer Letter. Work load escalated quickly with a quick ramp-up and "got in the game" early rather than twiddling my thumbs for weeks at other jobs I have held. Great Experience!

    MOrtgage Loan Originator Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Denver, CO
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Stearns Lending (Denver, CO) in November 2017.

    Interview

I spoke with a recruiter for about 20 minutes, then was scheduled an interview with a branch manager. That interview took about 2 hours and was conversational with two managers. Then a third meeting was scheduled with another branch manager (the office I'd likely be working with) and that interview included a "panel" of 4 people. It took a while but the meetings seemed more geared to making sure we were a good fit for each other culture-wise, and less towards going over standard interview questions.

    Interview Questions

    • Most of the questions seemed like nuanced personality questions to assess my attitude/motivation level. There weren't any gotcha questions.   1 Answer

    Interview

Interactive Questions about experiences. Provided examples of past situations in response to Qs. High energy interviewer and time flew by. You cannot prepare for a situational interview except to have an excellent recall of specifics. What was the situation, how did you respond, what was the outcome, as you think about it now what would you have done differently.

    Financial Analyst Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stearns Lending.

    Interview

This company is a waste of time. I was contacted by the HR representative for this entry level opportunity. Although I felt over qualified for the role since it was in the same industry as a couple of my previous employers I applied anyway to see what the organization structure was and to determine if it would be a place where one could get a foot in the door an quickly move up. My plan failed. As soon as the HR rep realized I was unemployed he told me that I was "unqualified" and noted that the unemployed need not apply
