Disappointing. The Interviewer, who was the COO, arrived late, then was distracted with the notifications on their watch. I followed up after the interview that I was interested in the position and would like to continue the dialogue. I was asked for an in-person meeting at their office. Then they go quiet and I was then abruptly informed that they're passing. The retained search firm that they hired though contacted me to set up a time to speak. Despite the COO telling me they are not interested, the recruiter does not seem to be aware and wants to speak.
I understand I am not the right fit. My concern is the way prospective candidates are treated by Strand. Companies talk about their values including integrity, respect and teamwork but it's what a company actually does that reflect values. Not what they say. I feel Strand does not espouse their stated values.
