Stravito interview questions

I had my first interview with the tech lead. Everything was fine and he explained that for this position they were looking for a more full stack generalist rather than a specialist in frontend or backend, which fit my experience. I asked about infrastructure and dev-ops and how much of it was required and mentioned this was not my strongest area as I was more product oriented dev rather than infrastructure oriented. He said that was fine and that they had other members in the team that took care of that. So he scheduled a second interview with some of the devs in the team and product owner. During that interview, the backend dev kept focusing on everything infrastructure related and asking questions about pipelines, kubernetes, aws...things I had already mentioned in the first interview was not my strongest. Whenever I wanted to talk backend api design, database, or design patterns he'd shut me off and ask me to focus on something infrastructure. The other devs and product owner were asking more relatable questions that was creating a dialogue but with the backender it was impossible. It's like he was on a mission to find my flaws and not my qualities. After that, I got an email from the tech lead with a rejection saying I lacked some of the skills required for the backend part. What a way to waste everyone's time!

I couple of weeks after the application, I was informed that the recruitment was being momentarily paused to be resumed 3 weeks later. I appreciated the transparency and the follow-through because I was later contacted and invited to an interview with the hiring manager. the interview was very pleasant and relevant to the role. the role was explained in detail, as well as the company culture, and I was asked what I was looking for in my next role - indicating there was a genuine desire to find a mutual good match. I was then asked to perform a logics and personality test. A couple of days after submitting it, much to my surprise I was rejected because I underperformed in one of the sub-areas of the personality test. I appreciated the quick follow-up and the transparency, but when I was told which area it was I was baffled as this result didn't reflect my personality at all. Ultimately, despite the interview having gone very well and my skills/experience matching perfectly the role, this was the reason I was discarded due to company-wide hiring policies. It was especially annoying to be rejected for a silly test result, considering the interview had gone so well.
