Interviewing was a full-day sprint of four 60-90 minute sessions, each covering different topics including background, architecture design, and coding*. While they were clearly standard questions, I didn't get the sense I was being assessed on a well-defined rubric. Also, while I was given a schedule of interviews beforehand which indicated most sessions would have two interviewers, all sessions ended up being 1:1. A couple engineers did take me out for lunch during the day which was very nice and a great opportunity to meet a couple more people I'd be working with.
The dev team is split between San Francisco and Vancouver. I was applying for a role in Vancouver but they still had me fly down to SF for the interview. This was coordinated well and a relatively easy trip, but still meant spending a night away from home.
Overall, everyone was very friendly and supportive during the interview process.
*The coding interview didn't include much actual coding. In total, I wrote about 8 lines on the whiteboard.
