I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
Standard interview process. Phone screen then "phone" interviews (actually VC) with hiring manager and a tech screen then a 4-hour onsite (actually VC) with "Sales and Customer Interactions", "Stakeholder Management ", "Hiring Manager Chat", and mock presentation, with a single 15 minute break for lunch.
Depending on your familiarity with the space and with Stripe's products, the recruiter recommends around 1.5 days of preparation for the presentation.
No feedback is provided to the candidate if a no-hire decision is made. After investing almost 6 weeks of time and > 2 full days of effort in the process I only received a "didn't find a strong fit" template email. Recruiter ignored my email asking for better feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Coding Test: Web browser presents an "accept-language" header string with space-separated language plus locale codes. Server has a list of supported language + locale codes. Find all the matches in order of browser's priority. Next step: What if the string is formatted unexpectedly (mixed-case or extra spaces)? What if the browser presents just the language and not the locale -- match against all possible server languages.
It was interview friendly process as it was a recruiter screening. It was a behavioral interview and we were both trying to figure out if the role was a good fit.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Stripe (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2026
Interview
1. Applied through a referral.
2. Received an email and scheduled a phone call with HR.
3. HR then scheduled an interview with the hiring manager/team member (technical), lasting about 1 hour.
A few days after completing the interview,
4. I received a rejection email.
I followed up with the HR contact for feedback but did not receive a response.

Question 1
The HR round was standard questions about experience and went through my CV.
For Technical Round : String manipulation question with a real world payment related problem (None leetcode] style. (There was no requirment to cover edge cases for final solutio)
- Advice is to practice some easy String and Arrays question on leetcode should be sufficient.
I had an HR chat first with general questions like "tell me about yourself". Then had a technical interview with the engineer team. It was a good experience overall. Didn't get an offer.
