The process with Stylight lasted for 1 month. The major issue in the process was the slowness of their response and low transparency in terms of where the process is stuck ( for ex. if feedback is awaited or the other candidates are being interviewed ). Moreover, they don't tell the estimated waiting time for the next round. I had two rounds - first one was a 20 minute round with the technical recruiter where he introduced himself, asked for my introduction, asked some questions like my knowledge about the company, salary expectation, availability for starting the job with them. Then, he sent a take home assignment immediately after the interview for completing that over the weekend. After submitting the assignment, I followed up with them after 2 weeks. Later, in the following week, I had my technical/ managerial round where they discussed about my past experience, and discussed some improvements in my solution to the coding assignment. Again, after following up after 1 week, I got to know that I hadn't made it to the next round. But they didn't share anything any feedback about what went wrong. Because I had to follow up for weeks to get the status update, I believe that it won't be possible to get the feedback even after following up.

I applied online after hearing good comments about the company from current and past employees. The first step was a friendly conversation over Google Hangouts with the HR manager. The conversation was mainly focused on the motivation, previous experience and about getting to know more about the company and the team. Afterwards, I was sent a technical challenge which I should solve within a timeframe. It consisted of two coding tasks and one architecture / systems design problem. A couple of days later I got invited to a face-to-face interview with the Head of the team that I would join and the Lead Engineer. The interview was relaxed and very interesting, they were interested in hearing about my previous experience and my motivation for joining Stylight. Also there were several question regarding my solutions to the technical challenge. Finally, I was invited to an interview with part of the management team, in which they gave me a good impression of how approachable they are and how it really matters to them who joins the team. The same day I also had the chance to meet for coffee with some team members, which was very nice and casual. A day after the last interview they sent me an offer, which I happily accepted. From the first talk with HR until the offer it was about 3 weeks. Overall I'd say it's one of the most pleasant interviews I've had. The HR Manager was very helpful at every point in letting me know what's next and what to expect, and everyone I met seemed friendly and happy to talk to. Personally, it is really important that it is not just about a fit in terms of skills but also a cultural fit, and everyone I met reflected that.
