I applied online. I interviewed at Subspace Network
Interview
No consideration for the candidate experience: The interviewer was late by 10 mins and no apologies at all;Of course, they did not get back to me when they said they will
Red flag 1: when I was asked about my desired salary, I asked the ranges they set to see if I am comfortable with it. they did not come up with one (BS, I work in TA, you ALWAYS know the salary range prior to you manager in-take meeting) They are also breaking labor law: the company is based in California, has more than 15 employees so they have to have a salary range on the job description. No transparency AT ALL
Red flag 2: When I asked about runway money, it was confirmed that it’s for 2-4 years (complete BS. According to Crunchbase, they raised 32.9M in 2022. For a team of 30, and looking to grow by 15%, you are not getting a burn rate of 4 years).
Red flag 3: no GTM strategy on how to bring in revenue; the mainnet launch kept being postponed in 2023
Red Flag 4: I was asked if I was interested in part time and contract work, when they advertised the role as full-time permanent. This shows how clueless you are about what you want next
Red Flag 5: the talent lead reports to head of people/ head of ops. They have 3 jobs open and expect to bring in another 4-5. It’s strange that a talent lead cannot deal with 3 existing reqs and they need to hire a technical recruiter
