I was contacted via WhatsApp regarding a role I had applied for a year ago, without any acknowledgment of that fact or context about why they were reaching out now. The communication was rushed from the start, including an attempt to schedule the interview for the same day, and an additional interviewer joining mid-meeting without prior notice.
The most surprising part was their pride in having no real onboarding because “What would we even onboard you on? How to open Jira?”, paired with casual references to previous hires not “fitting the role”. That combination says more than any corporate slogan ever could. Benefits are only shared later in the process, and even getting my name right proved challenging.
Not a terrible experience, but certainly revealing. If you value organization, time respect, and structured support, this may not be the best match!
