I had one of the most exhausting and disheartening interview experiences with TEG. After clearing the initial round, I was given a heavy technical challenge — to build an entire ticketing system in .NET . I managed to get it fully working .
However, the feedback focused heavily on minor clean code practices and lack of inline comments, rather than acknowledging the working solution or the complexity tackled . The entire tone of the feedback was dismissive, and the process made me question my capability, despite years of real-world software engineering experience.
This kind of environment may not be healthy for experienced candidates, especially those looking for a collaborative and growth-oriented team. It felt more like a test to break you down than evaluate you meaningfully.
Advice to others:
If you value respectful evaluation and balanced feedback, think twice before investing time and energy in TEG's interview process.
