I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TIMC (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2019
Interview
The process began with a 15-minute Skype-like interview. I connected with the person who would be my manager and we just talked about the position. She was very conscious of time and didn't go over the time allotted to me so that I could get back to work, which was so considerate. Afterwards, she sent me an email requesting me to participate in 2 exercises in writing samples (one in English, one in French), about the services they sell. I was given a week to complete the assignments, which I think was fair.
Once my articles were appraised, I was invited in for an in-person interview. They got back to me maybe 2 days later, at most.
The next in-person interview was with HR and the same manager from the phone interview. This took place about 1.5 months after the phone interview due to vacations and the holidays. It took about an hour and a half and had to be one of the most interesting interviews I've ever had the privilege of being invited to. They took an active interest in me and my past experience, even though I didn't work in finance. They were optimistic about my transferable skills and looked at my future potential instead of my current skill set. They answered all my questions patiently and were quick to respond to questions I sent in afterwards.
I was then invited to a half-day interview, where you get to "meet the family." Their interview process is highly selective and intensely based on fit. This last interview was only going to be after the holidays though, so I ended up moving forward with another offer instead and declined the meeting. This doesn't reflect badly on TIMC, though. I respect their timelines, and know for a fact that they would have moved faster had I requested them to do so. They're very flexible to their candidates, and, as mentioned before, are incredibly respectful towards them too.
Should our paths ever cross again in the future, I would highly consider looking into their openings again and I wish them the best.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TIMC (Montreal, QC) in May 2017
Interview
There are many steps in this interview from phone call to personality test, regular interview questions, real life scenarios, third party questions, discovery day. Overall it was challenging and fun. They did accommodate me well because I had another job at the time I was interviewing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The culture test : many random questions about myself (favorite colors, animals, super powers, etc)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TIMC (Montreal, QC) in May 2018
Interview
The interview happened in 3 steps. First was a quick phone interview were I was then invited to attend an in person interview. The goal of this interview was to see if I have a fit for the job and the company by getting to know me more. Then I had a french and english exam and a personnality quiz to do. Final stage is to spend a few hours with the team to see if you are a good fit and if you enjoy the team. Best interview process I ever had as it gave me the chance to see if I could fit in with the group before accepting an offer.
