I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at TLA (Liverpool, England) in Jun 2021
Interview
The interview process was rather enjoyable. Have no complaints there.
What concerns me is the feedback I got via the recruitment agent didn't match what was actually said in the interview. Which implies something else is going on.
They claimed I didn't have any up to date experience, seeing as I'd been using the latest .NET Core framework for the last 2 years creating WebAPI microservices and now using Angular as a frontend, this was patently absurd. It barely came up in the interview, they didn't ask any real technical stuff, it's also all there on my CV. Also it's not just about the "latest stuff", they had no interest what else I knew non-technical wise (Over 20 years experience).
There was also some feedback about being a mid/senior developer, which didn't make sense as I already perform that function. Not sure what that was about.
I don't feel they asked the right questions to actually include that as feedback. The interview seemed to just be about gauging personality, which they said went well. But I never had any real opportunity to show off my technical skills, yet they magically give feedback about that.
