      Staff Software Engineer Interview

      Nov 21, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Target (Bengaluru) in Nov 2018

      Interview

applied on Linkedin, some recruiter reached out to me 2 months later (by that time I had already switched to a new job, decided to give the interview anyway) first round was some phone screen. I was asked some obscure math puzzle... after 20min, i realized i was not making any headway on it, I asked the interviewer to ask me something else (possibly more relevant to the job profile) in the interest of time... he didn't agree, so i spent the rest of the hour scribbling on my notepad, while the interviewer was getting bored on the other end.. trying speaking with the recruiter post interview, but she started ghosting after the interview... I didn't make it past the round of course, but then if they're making a hire/no hire decision based on a puzzle round, then I don't know what to say :D
