The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Jul 2009
Interview
First received a call from Target HR after submitting application online. Call consisted of questions regarding education, availability, future goals, and ended with scheduling an interview.
Before the interview, they gave me 20 questions regarding how I would handle different situations while working at the store. Then proceeded with the interview.
Interview consisted of 5 different people coming in one at a time. Each lasted about 10-15 minutes. Interviews were basically "was there ever a time you did this...what was the outcome?" and other situational questions. Standard questions such as "why do you want to work for Target?" were also asked.
Tip: RELAX and try to be yourself. I know those two tips are easier said then done, but act like you're interested in the position and always willing to stay motivated. MAKE SURE YOU RESEARCH THE COMPANY before you go into the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was there ever a time when you had to instill change in your workplace? What did you do, and what was the outcome?
The interview was super easy. You just have to know a bit about what you're trying to do there and be lucky with their hiring timing. It also helps if you are nice to them overall.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was over the phone. Basically going over the details you inputted on the job application. We went over the hours I could work and if whether or not I had other things going on because it was a part time job.
i applied for a job online for my local target score and received notice about an interview a few days later. it was a positive experience with everyone i interacted with along the way. nothing bad to report in, they asked standard questions such as tell me about yourself and how do you handle conflict.
