      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Target

      Interview

Recruiter contacted me via email about 3 weeks after submitting online application. Set up phone interview, when I asked how prepare for the phone interview I was told to be prepared to speak to my background and leadership skills. Actual phone interview lasted about an hour. In addition to basic background knowledge I was asked about 5 questions. Recruiter wanted very specific examples, no general information. Examples of questions asked: Tell me about a time you made a mistake. How do you handle negative feedback? Have you ever challenged your boss and how? Tell me about a time you had to make a difficult decision at work.

      Question 1

Have you ever challenged your boss and how? - I was not prepared to answer this question and felt that I struggled to think on my feet.
