      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Columbus, OH) in Dec 2009

      Interview

I was contacted for a first interview approximately three weeks after I applied for the position. I met with the store Team Leader in the Starbucks attached to the store. The interview process was quite formal, with the interviewer reading from a script of questions. There were five situational questions (Describe a time when you...), with the majority of them focusing on negative situations (Describe a time when you had to go against the wishes of a supervisor). The interview lasted about an hour and I left with very positive feelings. Within two days, I was contacted to take the online skills/personality test. Within 24 hours, I was contacted for a second interview. The second interview took place at a different Target store and was done by the District Team Leader. A recently promoted Store Team Leader sat in with us. Round two was totally opposite of what I had come to expect. There was no script, and questions were chosen seemingly at random, with no relation to each other. The interview lasted about 10 minues, and I was thanked for my time. I got my rejection email (generic form letter) three days later.

      Interview

Interviewed 4 rounds, was transparent each time about being available to start asap, looking for immediate employment etc. At the end of the 4th interview, I was told there was no opening for the role I was applying for, but they were willing to hire someone for the bench, but "only if they were the right fit," but they also were not in any hurry. I asked why this wasn't disclosed earlier, and they did not have an answer. A week after my final interview, I received an automated rejection letter. I would have hoped after 4 rounds of interviews, that I could have received personalized feedback regarding the decision, but I was not given that courtesy.

      Interview

Applied online. I received an email to choose an interview time based on the recruiter’s availability. Interview was a phone call. I was a little surprised it wasn’t a video interview. Recruiter was professional. I declined to go to next steps after I heard the schedule expectation.

      Interview

There was a minimum of 5 interviews which is way too much. You should know by a maximum of 3 interviews if the candidate is correct or not. I’d recommend revamping the process to allow for a better candidate experience.
