The interview was pretty straightforward. The companies representative was easy to talk to and I felt listened to my answers and took notes. I believe they truly considered me and my skill even though they ultimately went with another candidate.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at TeleWare (Thirsk, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
It started with a phone interview and then a 2nd stage face to face with head of department - plus an aptitude test. They also conducted a DBS check once the position had been offered. Question 1
What have you done professionally that you succeeded at, but isn't an experience that you would want to repeat?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TeleWare (Thirsk, England) in Aug 2015
Interview
TeleWare was massively empathetic towards my interview considering my circumstances, I had had barely any sleep and barely eaten for a week due to being overworked in my previous role + working late nights freelancing to make ends meet. They cancelled my interview to give me a few days rest to then come back and really show who I was. Because they understood my situation I came back fighting fit and I aced the interview and got the job.
I am grateful my interviewers from TeleWare gave me that chance because it has allowed me to move positively forward in my career, and in my life financially so I don't have to work myself to death to make ends meet.
The first interview consisted of a one to one meeting with my soon to be line manager, discussing my experience, skills and briefly what the company does, its history and where they wanted to take the company using my skills.
The second interview which was the interview that became re-scheduled, I sat in with two other staff members and presented my skills in a short presentation. At both meetings they first asked me if I wanted a cup of tea which I always find is a lovely touch and at no point did they try and rush me.
