Applied online, one interview by 2 people. All questions were competency based. Mainly wanted you to describe times when you showed specific skills ie. teamwork, confidence, perseverance etc.. Main thing is to be super smiley and confident. They train you on the tills anyway, so you could get away with saying that you've already had till/supermarket experience- there's no check-up.

A time you worked as part of a team? Time you had to overcome a challenge?
i applied online, got offered an interview within 2 weeks. she asked me some questions regarding my experience and then got me working on the tills to see how i liked it for about 10 minutes. after that i could leave.
straight forward, in person interview. invited to a discovery day, a few weeks to hear any call back or feedback but in the end they will end up a hiring internally unfortunately.
easy and the interveiwer was lovely and easy to talk to
invlolved a tour around the department
asked about my availability and previous work experience
lovely place to work and would work here again
