Interview
You will be asked to attend an interview on specific days of which you can choose from. Depending how many people are being recruited you may have a group interview or just you alone which is most likely. You will just be asked the simple interview questions as you answered most of the questions when you applied for the job. If successful you will be asked to go in and do an assessment. the assessment will be with many others and is quite fun. You watch videos about the work placement and then you'll fill out some forms to show you understood the purpose of the videos shown. You will then go out in a group to fill shelves for 10 - 20 minutes to show you're able to do it properly. After this you will then start work normally and the trial will last 3 months. after the 3 months is up they will decide to keep you on or take you off. I was a Christmas temp but was told they wanted to keep me on and so did many others and applied

Completed a fairly short interview with two existing staff members (including manager) and then headed downstairs to do a trial shift to check how you performed on the checkouts and interacted with customers.

Describe a time you have helped a customer or client.
It was simple, basically why do you want to join Tesco and some soft skill questions. Tell me about a time you worked in a group, try to answer in STAR format.
It was done by a manager in a back room. It was formal and it was about 20 minutes asking about experience, peoples skills etc. this might have changed as this was like 6 years ago now
