      Interview

Total four interviews in general for each position. HR interview - relevant department staff interview - department manager - related another department manager interview. If HR contacts you fast after you submitted the application or just after interview, it means you have a chance and you will continue in next interview. If you don't hear from HR after the interview within 3-5 days, treat it as rejected. There is no need to check with HR, because I have encountered below listed answers week after week: 1) your status is on hold; 2) manager is out for trips and don't know when he will come back (this is a lie as their manager is at company and had no plan for business travel lately); 3) due to internal issue they are unable to move forward; 4) no reply; 5) no reply; 6) said "apologies" when I had to text him for a result. I thanked him for sharing the result with me, and would like to know whether there is any place i could improve myself to be more qualified, HR never replied ever after. I am impressed by their unprofessional HR and the diverse excuses/liars they gave which candidates could even find out by themselves. When most applicants just want a straight answer regarding the positions they are applying for, Tesla HR is proficient at delaying the answers month after month. I should really give a "thumb-down" for the overall experience, but I believe the people in other departments devote better to their work at Tesla so that they could make a car that customers feel proud of.

      Technical Support Specialist Interview

      May 22, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Amsterdam
      Declined offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Amsterdam) in Mar 2014

      Interview

Was contacted via Linkedin by an recruiter. Had a phone interview, but then decided that it would be an financial disaster for me as to 3 months I had to live in London for training in specs but this was not compensated by Tesla in any way. Travel to from London and accommodation nor expenses during training not paid or compensated. For me the salary indication was to low for this big risk. As to having to move 2 times within 3 months with no compensation what so ever, other then an huge financial personal risk. and with the risk of not getting hired. All in all, very bad. I therefor declined the offer, witch lead the Recruiter to become unprofessional as she had " invested time " in me. I clearly made it real for the recruiter that I was not looking for an job at the moment she contacted me and that she was entirely liable to blame for her own work schedule, as of course expecting to force someone into something just because they have the language skills you can get big money for... Made it so that I today do not see Tesla as the company I once did. People see it from the outside, and if that is what they want to show, I surely would never work for what feels like an 13th year old teenager that treats when they do not get it exactly how they want it.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Would you be willing to relocate for 3 months during training. On own expenses.
