Asked me multiple technical questions about engineering fundamentals and technical knowledge that was implied i had based off of my work experiences and projects. the questions were super hard though
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla in Apr 2012
Interview
Tesla is going through some major growing pains right now. I was contacted for an initial interview in mid March by a junior engineer. The interview went well, and I was subsequently scheduled to be contacted by the engineering manager for that position. However, the interviewer failed to call me during our scheduled time, and neither he nor HR let me know that this was going to happen. We rescheduled, but unfortunately, the same thing happened again--the manager failed to call me, and no one let me know that this was going to happen.
We rescheduled for a third time, and fortunately I was able to connect with the manager, nearly a month after our first attempt at an interview. The interview went well, but I was not offered a job.
Neither interviewer had looked at my application or resume before my interview, and as a result we weren't able to talk about my experience as much as I had wished.
