I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Fremont, CA) in Jul 2022
Interview
First round is phone call with recruiter to gauge fit and alignment. Second round was a phone call with the hiring manager which was general technical questions. The questions were fair and fundamental enough that I should have known them, but I did not properly prep myself and drew blanks at time when asked relatively straightforward questions. However, job description seemed a bit detached from the type of questions asked, but still any materials person should know the questions that were being asked. Overall fair and good technical phone call with the hiring manager.

Interview
Overall I found very good experience for this first phase interview. The role was physics modelling for metal team looking on long term solutions. I was not hoping I was going to move further than this stage as competition was high.
