Question 1
What makes you feel like you are suitable for this role?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tesla (Reno, NV) in Dec 2021
Interview
Applied to a few relevant positions online. Recruiter reached out to me with another position and after intro phone call he scheduled a Phone Screening with Hiring Manager. I was asked to present my skills and background.
With limited guidance on what details to include coupled with NDA requirement of current job, I gave a high level overview of my work experience. BIG MISTAKE. Hiring Manager was looking for specifics. Once he understood I didnt have those he grew visibly impatient. At the end I was told he doesnt want to proceed because he didnt have anything to go off of.
If you are asked to present something, make sure you reach out to the recruiter before the interview to get as much guidance as you can. Saves you time and helps you prepare better.
