Was told I would be doing a React based technical round. Wrote it in my notes and prepared for that. Interviewer was completely unaware of this and was prepared to do data structures and algorithms, I was fine with either one but because he thought it would be unfair he gave me the React interview.
I ace the interview, I would do something even before he thought telling me to do it. He would say center these objects in the div, render them this way, I was like "Done". He was like oh wow you nailed it.
After interview was over I was told I failed with no explanation, I feel it was the confusion about the React vs Data Structures and Algorithms where I think the recruiter set me up for failure even though he reached out to me. Maybe he didn't want to admit to a mistake and decided to cut a candidate instead.
Anyways, I reached out open to do Algorithms and Data Structures interview and was ghosted completely.
So pretty much wasted my time.
