I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Buckle in Sep 2011
Interview
They conduct all job interviews on the sales floor. They like you to dress casual and in their clothes even though they do not tell you that. If you are a young man or woman, and you already wear there clothes that will be a big plus. They are big on denim and you need to be wearing there jeans as well as select a style of clothing they offer. If you are a guy and you like Roar, then wear a Roar shirt. For girls, wear a lot of layers. The girls there wear a lot of accessories. From experience, they like to hire attractive people. It is a fast paced enviornment and I would suggest that before you consider working there that you have some retail experience in a fast paced enviornment and a clothing store will help. They say they work as a team but its sales and there are those there that simply are out for themselves and they will try and stick you with a client they know is not going to spend money. If they like you all is well, but if you do not fit into there culture within a few days of work you can expect to probably be shown the door.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None really. "Tell me why you want to work for the Buckle"
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

Question 1
How well do you do interacting with people you do not know?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Little Rock, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Buckle (Lima, OH)
Interview
They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
