I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The GIANT Company in Feb 2025
Interview
I applied through the company’s website and was promptly contacted for a preliminary call, which led to a formal interview. The conversation went well, and I was genuinely encouraged by what Mark Salinger shared about the opportunity. Following the interview, I received multiple follow-ups from Kelli Moyer, who expressed how impressed the team was with me — comments like "we were all very impressed with you" and that I should be expecting a call from Mark further reinforced my sense that I was a strong candidate. Unfortunately, that’s where the professionalism ended. Despite repeated outreach on my part, the company went completely silent. Weeks passed with no response or update — not even a basic confirmation of whether the position had been filled. To this day, months later, I have not received a formal closure to the process. If a candidate is told they were impressive and should expect next steps, there is a basic level of professional courtesy owed — especially in the form of transparent communication. It is far more acceptable to simply say, “We don’t have an update at this time” than to offer reassurances and then disappear entirely. The false hope and lack of closure are not just disappointing — they’re indicative of a deeper issue in how candidates are respected throughout the hiring process.
Thank you for your feedback. We continue to prioritize effective and efficient communication for all team members, so you feel well-informed about all things GIANT. We will continue to evaluate our efforts to ensure we're providing the best methods and frequency of communication with applicants. Take care!
